How to descale your Senseo coffee machine?
As mentioned earlier, the taste of your coffee may be altered if you do not take care of your machine. The reason is very simple: by dint of use, your coffee maker will naturally accumulate lime and micro-residues inside its pipes.
Descaling consists precisely in purging your machine of all these residues. The operation, quite simple and quick, will allow your coffee machine to get a new lease of life. It will regain its performance as at its first use and will again serve you delicious hot coffees. This will also prevent your Top Coffee Maker Machine from damaging its piping due to the accumulation of lime inside, it is never good for the metal parts to be in too permanent contact with lime.
Indeed, recent Senseo coffee makers are equipped with an automatic descaling function which will greatly facilitate your task.
Your first option here is to use vinegar which you will place inside the water tank, then pass through the pipes via the integrated descaling module.
However, I do not recommend this approach. Firstly, because vinegar is not suitable for the piping of your Top Coffee Maker Machine and, even if it purifies the inside of it, it can damage the functions of your appliance if it is used in the wrong way.The acidity of the vinegar is not to be proven and too high a dose could harm your machine. Too low a dose, it would be wobbly and would poorly clean the internal piping.
Your second option , and this is what I advise you to do, is the one which consists in obtaining a Senseo descaling kit , which comes in the form of a box which generally contains 4 to 8 doses of descaler specific to Senseo coffee makers.
